A simple life is a true life,
A peaceful life is a happy life.
愚蠢的问题，什么叫“最好”的答案，如果你自己写不出来，如何知道谁给你的是“最好”的？文学类的翻译很难做，所以别指望大家都跟专业翻译家似的。如果我翻的话就是：
Be happy with a simple life. 因为这句话的本意就是劝人安于现状的。
还真有难度，因为翻译出来要有哲理，还不能太生硬死板，既要符合口语习惯，又要运用修辞，合辙压韵。只能意译：
Normal life is extraordinary,
easeful person is full of happiness.
感觉这样还行，累死很多脑细胞
to be ordinary is the reality and to be happy is the blessing
平平淡淡才是真，安安乐乐才是福。
A simple life leads to truth.
A real joy comes from peace.
only in plainness is essence,fortune in peace and happiness
The truth of life is plain,the happiness of life is peace.

To life,the truth is to be plain and the fortune is to be peaceful.
几乎所有中文谚语都不能直译出来，否则就极可能脱离了原意，以上是我对这句话的理解
