1.can't的意思比较多,如果是指“不能”,更多表示的是个人的能力问题或个人的主观想法,其为内因.
而mustn't的意思如果指“不被允许/禁止/不能”时,更多是表示客观因素或外在的约束,其为外因.
不过我觉得有时候两者可以混用,比如外在的约束已经转化为个人自己的想法的时候.
2.所以这两题答案是：
1）I (mustn't/can't) do that because my mother has told me not to.
因为是妈妈告诉我,不让我做的,所以我是“禁止那样做的”,用mustn't是可以的；
但是如果现在自己也觉得不能那样做的时候,用can't也是可以的.
2）I (can't) go there because the meeting is begining.
虽然看似外因,但是我要去也是可以的,因为不能说“会议已经开始,就禁止人进场”,但是我知道我自己不能去,这是自己的主观想法.
can't是不能做某件事
mustn't是没必要做某事
1 can't 我不能做那件事因为我妈妈告诉我不能做
2 mustn't 我没必要再去那儿因为会议已经开始了

can't意思是不能，不可以,不会。eg:I can't play guitar.我不会弹吉他。
mustn't意思是不准，有禁止的意思在里面。eg:"mom,i want to watch TV."your mother said :"you mustn't watch TV until you finish your homework."你不准看电视直到你完成作业。（完成作业才能看电视的意思）
