Mrs. Jones lives in a small village. Her husband is dead, but she has one son. He is twenty one, and his name is Jim. He worked in a shop in a small village and lived with his mother, but then he got a job in a town and went to live there. Its name was Green Sea. It was quite a long way from his mother's village, and she was not happy about this. But Jim said,' There isn't any good work for me in the country, mother, and I can send you some money every week'.
Mrs. Jones was very angry last Sunday. She got in a train and went to his son's house in Green Sea. Then she said to him,' Jim, why do you never phone me?' Jim laughed. 'But, mother, 'he said, 'You don't have a phone.' 'No, 'she answered, 'I don't, but you have one!'
