请问一下,有一题这麽说的：
the new system,which uses remote cameras （in the catching of） speeding motorists, may undermine the police department's authority.
结果显示in the catching of是错的,我也知道to catch 是更好的选择,可是in the catching of不是也算是正确的吗?
SAT很喜欢出那种,读起来很奇怪,却是正确的答案,而这个题目也很像是其中之一阿.
还有一题是这样的：
The number of awards give this year to biochemists (accentuate) the significant gains being made in the study of the chemistry of living organisms.
为什麽accentuate是错的?难不成要past tense?

2题 应该是
accentuates the number of 应该是单数的 后面的动词应该用单数.这个跟过去式没什么大关系,因为是this year
in the catching of 我从来没听说过有这种用法的，to cathch表示目的
原因应该在于开头的the number of, 用accentuate的话说的是奖项的数目强调了研究成果的重要性，意思和语法都不对
