等词的用法区别
1．race重在指“种族、家族”,指以肤色而分的人种,用the human race表示“人类”.一般为单数,表示抽象含义,例如：
The human race is made up of all kinds of people who live on the earth.
2．human being表示“人、人类”,有单复数形式,即可以用a human或humans表示区别于动物的“人”的含义.有时只用human或being.例如：
Men and women are human beings.
3．man与mankind相同,作“人类”时是单数,没有复数形式,不加冠词,表示具体的男女老少.作主语时谓语动词用单数形式,例如：
Man can conquer nature.We have found new resources for mankind.
另外,man和woman还可以用来表示一般的男人和女人,都为可数名词.
4．person表示个体的人,为可数名词,包括性别、男女、老少,例如：a man,a woman,a child等；复数形式为people；people有时还可作“家人、亲属”的意思；作单数可数名词时为“民族、种族”的意思,例如：
