非谓语动词作定语和状语时,要看主语和动作的关系.如果主语是动作的发出者（即我们通常所说的主动）,用动词现在分词.如：The sun is rising.太阳正在升起.太阳是动作的发出者,是主动升起的.如果主语是动作的承受者（即被动）,用过去分词.如：A boy named Tom.一个叫汤姆的男孩.他是被别人叫做汤姆.在作状语时,如果从句的动作发生在主句以前就用Having done形式.如：Having waitting a long time,suddenly he realised that he had leave his bag in his room.等了很长时间,他突然意识到他的包忘在房间里了.他等了一段时间才意识到,说明从句动作发生在主句以前.
