其实您可以从它们的反义词can be和must be来辅助理
1、can be表示“有可能是,能是,会是”,因而can't be表示“不太可能是,没有多大可能会是”；例如：what he said can't be true（他所说的不太可能是真的,他很可能说的假话）
2、must be表示“极有可能是,准是,必然是”,因而mustn't be表示“极有可能不是,必然不是,准不是”.例如：what he said mustn't be true（他所说的肯定不是真的,他肯定说了假话）
其实只要注意2点就行了：
（1）can be用于表示“犹豫不定或吃不准的猜测”（有可能）,而must be是“信以为真或认定的猜测”（极有可能）；
（2）can/must be的用法跟can/must do的用法本质上是一样,但意思表达上稍有区别（这个区别也是习惯上的用法所致）.比如：can't do表示“不能做”（做了之后有可能对他人或自己造成不利影响）,而mustn't do表示“必然不能做,不准做”（做了之后自己会受到惩罚或吃不了兜着走）
